Attended my first appointment today at Gibside Dental and from start to finish it was excellent, Being a very nervous patient this was very much taken into consideration and everyone was brilliant reassuring me. The full check up I had was very thorough and everything was explained simply to put my mind at ease also. I choose this practice purely on a guy instinct and I'm so glad I did. Highly recommend.

I've been sceptical about visiting dentists for many years from going to various NHS practices and encountering poor experiences, I thought my teeth were doomed, until I visited Gibside.From the moment I was greeted by the fabulous Sally, I instantly felt reassured and welcomed, almost as if I was never even at the dentist.Upon entering the practice itself, it has an immediate warm and welcoming feel to it, I really felt like I entered a 5* spa resort. While the environment itself is truly stunning, clean and welcoming, the staff truly make it what it is. Sally is super friendly, approachable and very helpful. Sally kept an open stream of preferred communication and kept in touch before and after dental work offering 'wellbeing aftercare courtesy calls' to ensure I was well after my treatment. This was so very appreciated and only demonstrates their genuine care to their patients.Emily performed my dental hygiene appointment and was very friendly & approachable, taking the time to demonstrate how to effectively clean / floss my teeth to ensure best results.Jordan, my dentist was truly incredible. Jordan created a calm & supportive, and relaxed environment during not only my 'MOT' / 'New Patient Exam' but every single appointment there on after taking various scans / x-rays, and took the time to go through my results during explaining each step and issue. Jordan was clear and professional while providing a detailed treatment plan to ensure I got the best treatment to suit me. Jordan is the first dentist in a long time that has taken the time to actually sit and take his time to explain and not make me feel like I had to get up and leave for the next person.Overall, all the staff I have encountered have been friendly, helpful and genuine. I'm so very happy my partner and I came across Gibside and would highly recommend.A 'BIG' thank you to all the team at Gibside. You have restored my faith in returning regularly to the dentist.

I recently had an emergency appointment for a broken tooth which I was able to get at very short notice near Christmas. I wasn’t registered properly as a patient yet but I had no problems getting my dental issue sorted.Sally on reception was just lovely. Warm and friendly and really went out of her way to make me comfortable as a very anxious patient who hadn’t been to the dentist in many years as a result.Sophie and my dentist Jordan were both amazing. Again, so friendly and calm and alleviating my anxieties, explaining everything really well and I had every confidence in their advice. I was expecting a temporary solution to my broken tooth given the late appointment but Jordan did an amazing job of fully repairing the tooth.I am booked in for a full MOT in the new year with much less anxiety around dental work than I used to have.Thanks again.

I cannot recommend this dentist enough! All of the staff are absolutely wonderful, and very welcoming. Jordan my dentist is the best I've ever been seen by. He listens, explains things properly and really makes me feel at ease. I've been having corrective work done after being... Butchered by my previous dentist. The work that's been by done is absolutely next level and I'm extremely happy I found gibside Dental. I'll definitely be a patient for life now!

I’ve always been very nervous about going to the dentist, but Gibside Dental completely changed that!I hadn't been to the dentist in quite a few years due to both mental health and fear but I knew there was some dental work to be done. I initially contacted Gibside Dental before they actually opened, they were quick to answer any questions I had and I was booked in for the first consultation. From the very moment I walked in, both Sam and Harriet were super friendly, the 'full mot' was carried out and any work needed was identified and explained.Sam was absolutely fantastic completing all treatments. . . Super professional & friendly! He even managed to make a root canal the most relaxing thing ever!!! A huge special thanks to both Sam and his dental nurse Britanie! Genuinely, without how brilliant you both were... I wouldn't have gone back to a dentist.Not forgetting, the wonderful staff that you meet when you first walk through the door. You're all amazing! Thank you all!

I recently visited Gibside Dental for a second opinion on my NHS treatment, and I’m so glad I did. From start to finish, the team were incredibly professional, friendly, and genuinely focused on helping me understand what was going on.A special thank you to Sophie, the Practice Manager, who was welcoming and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Brit, the nurse, was reassuring and attentive throughout my appointment, and Sam, the dentist, quickly identified the actual cause of my ongoing pain and sensitivity—something that had been missed previously. He explained everything clearly, gave me a solid recommendation on what to do next, and provided copies of the scans/X-rays taken, which was really helpful.I also want to mention Sally on front of house, who was warm, organised, and made checking in and out seamless.Overall, the service was excellent, and I left feeling listened to, informed, and confident about my next steps. Highly recommended!

I've had several treatments at Gibside in the last few months after an unfortunate burst of poor dental health. Sam and Harriet are both exceptionally comprehensive dentists, always going above and beyond to ensure the best care possible. I was very nervous going for a lengthy procedure and they made me feel calm and supported. The practice itself is a warm, friendly and modern building that is a lovely place to visit. They have great modern technology so you feel thoroughly looked after. Sophie is a lovely friendly face when you arrive at the practice and makes sure you're looked after, and Hollie is around to help you through your treatment process - I've had treatment from nurses Britney and Sarah as well who were both excellent. Couldn't recommend Gibside any more highly!

The best dentist I have been to, I'm quite nervous about the dentist but I was put at ease straight away. The receptionist is lovely and welcoming and the treatment I received was excellent, I saw Dr Samuel Row who made sure I was comfortable and he explained everything clearly. I was given different options for the best possible treatment for a broken tooth and I'm really happy with the result.

I chipped my tooth recently and got seen really quickly at Gibside Dental, which I massively appreciated. Sophie on reception was lovely and got everything sorted with no hassle.Emily fixed the tooth and did such a great job! She explained what she was doing the whole time and made me feel totally at ease. Her nurse, Britanie, was also really helpful and friendly throughout.Couldn’t be happier with how fast and easy the whole thing was. Definitely recommend

I would highly recommend Gibside Dental Practice. I had quite a poor experience at my previous dental practice and moved to Gibside. From my first meeting with Sandy on reception, she made me feel very welcome and was extremely helpful. I would like to say a massive thank you to Sam and Britney who I have had consultations and treatments with. I was quite anxious attending my treatments however they both made me feel at ease and were absolutely lovely.I have never had a service provided who have paid such care and attention to detail.Thank you all again!

The team are so welcoming and friendly. I was a little worried about dentist visits due to past experiences. However, Sam and Harriet are just fantastic! They put you at ease and chat to you like you’re a friend rather than a patient. Sam put together a treatment plan which I could understand and has explained upcoming procedures thoroughly. The practice has amazing technology compared to others I’ve been to so everything is so easy and comfortable. So happy with the work that’s has been carried out so far and the aftercare I’ve received has been phenomenal. Thank you to you both and the amazing team you have at Gibside Dental 🦷💖

5 Stars – Excellent Invisalign Experience with SamI had Invisalign treatment with Sam at his previous practice, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, Sam was professional, kind, and incredibly friendly, making the whole process feel easy and stress-free. He explained every step clearly, which really helped me feel confident and informed throughout my treatment.My teeth look fantastic now, and the care and aftercare I received were both outstanding. I had a fantastic experience at this dental clinic! The inside is beautifully clean and immaculate, creating a welcoming and calming atmosphere. Harriet, my dentist, was amazing — so friendly, professional, and really made the whole appointment easy and comfortable. Everyone I met was super kind and attentive. Plus, the treatment was affordable, which is always a bonus. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for top-notch dental care with a personal touch!
