I went to Gibside after having no dentist for 5 years and no NHS practices were taking on new patients. I was in desperate need to be seen to as I was having wisdom teeth issues and I enquired and spoke to Sally on the phone who sorted me out straight away and was so so helpful! I got an appointment that same day which really put my mind at ease as it reassured me that this practice puts the patient first ALWAYS! I arrived and straight away Sally greeted me and asked me to take a seat and offered me a drink which made me feel a lot less anxious and more comfortable. Sam then called my name and again, I cannot fault the way these people make you feel! The second I sat down he introduced me to the dental nurse with him, Lily and asked me questions and listened and I did not feel judged one bit which was one of the things I was worried about. He explained all the procedures we will be doing and took time and care to help me understand my dental health and how to improve where necessary. I honestly felt like I’d been going to this dentist for years, that’s how much of a good rapport they build with you while you are there. We talked through next steps and I cannot wait to start this new journey where I am put first. Thank you to all the lovely staff!

From the first point of contact the staff have been supportive, responsive and professional. I have had an excellent experience with both the dentist (Sam) and hygienist (Poppy). A personalised assessment with feedback is provided for all aspects of treatment - providing reassurance and understanding toward the agreed treatment plan. Best dentists I've ever been to. After a bad experience with an NHS dentist I needed some treatment. The surgery itself is modern and spotlessly clean. Emma and Sally on the desk always chat with you and put you at ease. I had a consultation with Harriet first which helped decide what treatment was best. Then I've had my treatment with Vanessa who's made sure it's been painless but thorough. The dental assistants are lovely also ( sorry didn't catch any names).As a single parent I don't have a lot of spare cash however it's been worth every penny for the level of care you get and they even have a monthly plan which includes cleans etc. I've been telling everyone I know to go here because of how good they've been 🤣

I can't recommend Gibside Dental highly enough. Sam, Vanessa, and the whole team have completely restored my trust in dentists after multiple negative experiences in the past.From my very first appointment, everyone was so kind, caring, and completely non-judgemental, which immediately put me at ease. I had quite a bit of dental work done, and at every appointment I was reassured, listened to, and cared for exceptionally well. They always took the time to explain everything and made sure I felt comfortable throughout.A special mention has to go to Sally on reception, who is absolutely amazing! From the moment you walk through the door, she makes you feel welcome. She's so friendly, puts you at ease straight away, and genuinely takes the time to chat and get to know you. That personal touch makes such a difference.Thank you to everyone at Gibside Dental for making what used to be such a daunting experience into such a positive one. My experience with Gibside Dentist has been outstanding from start to finish. I was told by my NHS dentist I needed a root canal and that my case was very complex - they suggested I go private for this work done. I knew this was a new private dentist in the area and gave them a call.Sally was brilliant from helping me over the phone booking appointments and making me feel at ease. She knew how nervous I was coming in to the dentist and made me feel at ease right away. Dr Jordan reviewed me explained the process and booked me in for the procedure. I can’t honestly say that it wasn’t as bad as what I thought. It wasn’t rushed and Dr Jordan and his team constantly checking on me and talking me through the procedure! It was a calm friendly environment which made me feel relaxedFrom such an amazing experience I can highly recommend this practice for your dentistry needs!I will be now calling the Gibside Dentist my new dentist!Thank you so much!

Would highly recommend. Rang early Monday morning and was seen at 12.30. A very different experience to any other dentist I ve ever seen. Was greeted by a lovely receptionist then went in to see Sam he took the time to talk to me and discuss problem, took xrays the discussed treatment options in depth. He put me at ease and didn t rush through the appointment. This was an emergency appointment but needless to say I booked an appointment for the follow up treatment

I went for my first consultation today, and I was very impressed! The waiting area and treatment room where absolutely spotless. Jordan the dentist was great, he explained everything really clearly and actually seeing you're own teeth on the screen makes it a much better experience. The receptionist (I cant remember her name😕) was really friendly and helpful too. I'm usually really anxious at the dentist but I was totally put at ease today! 😅

Sam is an amazing, friendly, professional and highly skilled dentist.Lovely clinic, relaxing and spotless.Front of house staff are caring and really make an effort to get to know you.I’m very happy with my 320Co clear aligner results and composite bonding. Not as expensive as I thought and well worth the money.Would recommend to anyone

Outstanding care and treatment. Sally at reception was brilliant helping me navigate some forms and is a brilliant welcoming ambassador for the practice. I was seen as an emergency and I couldn’t have had better treatment. Dr Jordan was amazing. He listened as I explained some complex health issues, and the treatment went smoothly and nothing was rushed. Sarah who assisted was kind and supportive. I honestly can’t complain about my experience at Gibside Dental. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel really welcome by the friendly and helpful staff.My dentist Sam, is incredibly knowledgeable, amazing at what he does and has a great sense of humour, which really helps put you at ease. His dental nurse Sarah, is fantastic as well—both of them make a great team.I joined over the last few months and have been really impressed. Highly recommend!

I recently had extensive dental work at this recently opened practice, including a root canal and crown, it was an excellent experience from start to finish.The reception staff were warm and welcoming, and everything ran smoothly and on time. I was naturally quite nervous about undergoing a root canal, but one big standout was the dentist (Dr Jordan Heron) took the time to explain every step of the process clearly which really helped settle my anxiety.What impressed me most was how gentle and skilled the dentist was. The entire procedure was completely pain-free—something I didn’t expect with this type of treatment. Their professionalism and attention to detail were clear throughout, and I always felt in safe hands, and relaxed (to the point of falling asleep during the treatment).The crown work was completed to a very high standard, and the result looks and feels great. It’s clear the practice genuinely cares about both the quality of their work and the comfort of their patients.I would highly recommend this practice, especially to anyone who feels anxious about dental treatment. As a very nervous patient, visiting the dentist is never easy for me, but from the moment I walked in, the team made such a difference. Sally at reception was so welcoming and kind, immediately putting me at ease with her friendly manner. She helped me go over the admin before my appointment without ever making me feel like I was a burden or an unnecessary distraction.Sam and Sarah were absolutely wonderful. They were patient and understanding, taking the time to reassure me throughout my appointment. They explained everything clearly, checked in with me regularly, and genuinely made me feel as comfortable as possible.I can’t thank the team enough for their care and compassion. I recently moved dentists after previously seeing Sam elsewhere. I’ve had some cosmetic treatment done and the whole experience has been amazing from start to finish. Everything was explained clearly, the treatment itself was great, and I’m really happy with the results.Changing dentists was really easy and the team were so helpful and friendly throughout, which made the whole process stress-free.I couldn’t recommend Gibside Dental enough - such a lovely, professional team.

Would definitely recommend this dental practice, everyone is lovely.There is coffee and water available in the waiting area.Sally was very welcoming and helpful, Jordan is thorough and informative about what he’s doing, Lexi was professional and attentive.They use great equipment that shows you during your appointment what your teeth look like and whether there’s any issues.Booking appointments has been easy so has rescheduling when I’ve needed to, the communication has been great from Sally and Britanie.It’s slightly out the way for me but it’s worth it for the care, competence and good vibes.

I can’t recommend Gibside dental practice highly enough. From the moment you walk in, everyone is so friendly, professional and genuinely caring.Sally at the front of house is absolutely lovely. She’s always so welcoming, helpful, and accommodating and she really sets the tone for the whole practice.Sam is an amazing dentist, clearly highly skilled and excellent at what he does. He has relieved so much of my stress and anxiety and has been incredibly reassuring throughout, especially when I’ve been dealing with trauma and injury. I’ve always felt in very safe hands.The dental nurses are also wonderful. The whole team works so smoothly together, which makes every appointment feel calm and easy.I can’t thank everyone enough, my teeth feel and look great and my confidence has improved so much. Going to the dentist is no longer scary at all, I trust them completely and know I’ll be well looked after every time.

Attended my first appointment today at Gibside Dental and from start to finish it was excellent, Being a very nervous patient this was very much taken into consideration and everyone was brilliant reassuring me. The full check up I had was very thorough and everything was explained simply to put my mind at ease also. I choose this practice purely on a guy instinct and I'm so glad I did. Highly recommend.

I've been sceptical about visiting dentists for many years from going to various NHS practices and encountering poor experiences, I thought my teeth were doomed, until I visited Gibside.From the moment I was greeted by the fabulous Sally, I instantly felt reassured and welcomed, almost as if I was never even at the dentist.Upon entering the practice itself, it has an immediate warm and welcoming feel to it, I really felt like I entered a 5* spa resort. While the environment itself is truly stunning, clean and welcoming, the staff truly make it what it is. Sally is super friendly, approachable and very helpful. Sally kept an open stream of preferred communication and kept in touch before and after dental work offering 'wellbeing aftercare courtesy calls' to ensure I was well after my treatment. This was so very appreciated and only demonstrates their genuine care to their patients.Emily performed my dental hygiene appointment and was very friendly & approachable, taking the time to demonstrate how to effectively clean / floss my teeth to ensure best results.Jordan, my dentist was truly incredible. Jordan created a calm & supportive, and relaxed environment during not only my 'MOT' / 'New Patient Exam' but every single appointment there on after taking various scans / x-rays, and took the time to go through my results during explaining each step and issue. Jordan was clear and professional while providing a detailed treatment plan to ensure I got the best treatment to suit me. Jordan is the first dentist in a long time that has taken the time to actually sit and take his time to explain and not make me feel like I had to get up and leave for the next person.Overall, all the staff I have encountered have been friendly, helpful and genuine. I'm so very happy my partner and I came across Gibside and would highly recommend.A 'BIG' thank you to all the team at Gibside. You have restored my faith in returning regularly to the dentist.

I recently had an emergency appointment for a broken tooth which I was able to get at very short notice near Christmas. I wasn’t registered properly as a patient yet but I had no problems getting my dental issue sorted.Sally on reception was just lovely. Warm and friendly and really went out of her way to make me comfortable as a very anxious patient who hadn’t been to the dentist in many years as a result.Sophie and my dentist Jordan were both amazing. Again, so friendly and calm and alleviating my anxieties, explaining everything really well and I had every confidence in their advice. I was expecting a temporary solution to my broken tooth given the late appointment but Jordan did an amazing job of fully repairing the tooth.I am booked in for a full MOT in the new year with much less anxiety around dental work than I used to have.Thanks again.

I’ve always been very nervous about going to the dentist, but Gibside Dental completely changed that!I hadn't been to the dentist in quite a few years due to both mental health and fear but I knew there was some dental work to be done. I initially contacted Gibside Dental before they actually opened, they were quick to answer any questions I had and I was booked in for the first consultation. From the very moment I walked in, both Sam and Harriet were super friendly, the 'full mot' was carried out and any work needed was identified and explained.Sam was absolutely fantastic completing all treatments. . . Super professional & friendly! He even managed to make a root canal the most relaxing thing ever!!! A huge special thanks to both Sam and his dental nurse Britanie! Genuinely, without how brilliant you both were... I wouldn't have gone back to a dentist.Not forgetting, the wonderful staff that you meet when you first walk through the door. You're all amazing! I recently visited Gibside Dental for a second opinion on my NHS treatment, and I’m so glad I did. From start to finish, the team were incredibly professional, friendly, and genuinely focused on helping me understand what was going on.A special thank you to Sophie, the Practice Manager, who was welcoming and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Brit, the nurse, was reassuring and attentive throughout my appointment, and Sam, the dentist, quickly identified the actual cause of my ongoing pain and sensitivity—something that had been missed previously. He explained everything clearly, gave me a solid recommendation on what to do next, and provided copies of the scans/X-rays taken, which was really helpful.I also want to mention Sally on front of house, who was warm, organised, and made checking in and out seamless.Overall, the service was excellent, and I left feeling listened to, informed, and confident about my next steps. I've had several treatments at Gibside in the last few months after an unfortunate burst of poor dental health. Sam and Harriet are both exceptionally comprehensive dentists, always going above and beyond to ensure the best care possible. I was very nervous going for a lengthy procedure and they made me feel calm and supported. The practice itself is a warm, friendly and modern building that is a lovely place to visit. They have great modern technology so you feel thoroughly looked after. Sophie is a lovely friendly face when you arrive at the practice and makes sure you're looked after, and Hollie is around to help you through your treatment process - I've had treatment from nurses Britney and Sarah as well who were both excellent. Couldn't recommend Gibside any more highly!

The best dentist I have been to, I'm quite nervous about the dentist but I was put at ease straight away. The receptionist is lovely and welcoming and the treatment I received was excellent, I saw Dr Samuel Row who made sure I was comfortable and he explained everything clearly. I was given different options for the best possible treatment for a broken tooth and I'm really happy with the result.

I chipped my tooth recently and got seen really quickly at Gibside Dental, which I massively appreciated. Sophie on reception was lovely and got everything sorted with no hassle.Emily fixed the tooth and did such a great job! I would highly recommend Gibside Dental Practice. I had quite a poor experience at my previous dental practice and moved to Gibside. From my first meeting with Sandy on reception, she made me feel very welcome and was extremely helpful. I would like to say a massive thank you to Sam and Britney who I have had consultations and treatments with. I was quite anxious attending my treatments however they both made me feel at ease and were absolutely lovely.I have never had a service provided who have paid such care and attention to detail.Thank you all again!

The team are so welcoming and friendly. I was a little worried about dentist visits due to past experiences. However, Sam and Harriet are just fantastic! They put you at ease and chat to you like you’re a friend rather than a patient. Sam put together a treatment plan which I could understand and has explained upcoming procedures thoroughly. The practice has amazing technology compared to others I’ve been to so everything is so easy and comfortable. From start to finish, Sam was professional, kind, and incredibly friendly, making the whole process feel easy and stress-free. I had a fantastic experience at this dental clinic! The inside is beautifully clean and immaculate, creating a welcoming and calming atmosphere. Harriet, my dentist, was amazing — so friendly, professional, and really made the whole appointment easy and comfortable. Everyone I met was super kind and attentive. Plus, the treatment was affordable, which is always a bonus. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for top-notch dental care with a personal touch!
