Sam Carew is an experienced Dental Therapist with a strong focus on preventive care, restorative dentistry and helping patients feel confident about their oral health.
Sam began her career in dentistry as a dental nurse before going on to qualify in Dental Hygiene and Therapy at Newcastle University in 2009. This additional training allowed her to expand her clinical role and provide a wider range of treatments, while continuing to place prevention and patient education at the heart of her approach.
Her clinical interests include dental health assessments, hygiene and periodontal care, restorative treatments such as fillings, and cosmetic treatments including composite veneers and tooth whitening.
Sam is particularly passionate about helping patients understand what is happening in their mouth. She uses digital scans and other visual aids to explain findings clearly, making it easier for patients to understand their oral health, the treatment options available to them and how they can improve and maintain their smile.
With a calm and reassuring manner, Sam also enjoys working with patients who may feel anxious about dental treatment. She takes time to listen, explain each stage of care and ensure patients feel comfortable and involved throughout their appointments.
Her aim is for every patient to leave feeling informed, supported and more confident in looking after their oral health.
