Vanessa joined the Gibside Dental team with a strong connection to the local community. Having grown up in the area, she understands the importance of providing high quality, friendly dental care to patients in Burnopfield and the surrounding villages.
After qualifying from Newcastle University in 2017, Vanessa has dedicated her career to creating positive patient experiences. She believes that a visit to the dentist should be about more than just treatment – it should be a comfortable, supportive experience built on trust, communication, and personalised care.
Vanessa is passionate about tailoring treatment to each individual patient, taking the time to understand their needs, concerns, and oral health goals. As a Dental Therapist, she has extensive experience in both preventative and restorative dentistry, helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles for life.
One of Vanessa’s proudest achievements is her involvement in international dental charity work. Over several years, she volunteered with Dentaid in Uganda, providing essential dental care to communities with limited access to treatment. This rewarding experience strengthened both her clinical skills and her belief that everyone deserves access to compassionate, life changing dental care.
Outside of the practice, Vanessa enjoys making the most of the beautiful North East countryside and can often be found exploring local walks and landscapes. Family is incredibly important to her, and she loves spending time with her loved ones – especially her many nieces and nephews, who always keep her busy and entertained.
